Senior Accountant/Tax Manager

Job Description


We are looking for a person that enjoys working with a team of professionals who make successfully serving clients the main focus. This person will enjoy serving clients, building client relationships, continued learning, be an active problem solver, and be resourceful and analytical.  

The person will work on several projects each day and be directly responsible to deliver client projects on time and professionally.  

The ideal person has a strong desire to help people, is friendly, a good communicator and interested in building strong trusted relationships with our clients and fellow employees.  They will also have a desire to continually develop and improve their skills.  Be self-disciplined and have attention to detail. 


Client Services 

• Tax return preparation, review, and tax planning - Individual, Partnership, Corporation, Fiduciary

• Tax research will be an important role -Income, SALT, Fiduciary and other

• Plan, supervise and complete tax and financial statement engagements and client special projects

• Manage client relationships and client engagements for profitability

 

Business Development 

• Recognize opportunities to provide additional services to current clients and lead implementation

• Anticipate client future issues and needs and proactively assist clients in developing solutions

• Cultivate relationships and referral networks in the community, develop potential new clients and new client contacts and relationships, assist in the promotional efforts of the Firm 

  

Leadership, Administration, Education and Other 

• Be a knowledge source and research resource to all staff and owners

• Coach, mentor and play a role in development and training of staff

• Evaluate performance of staff and senior accountants and provide feedback to staff and owners

• Initiate and approve client billings

• Assist in or lead Firm initiatives and innovation opportunities


Anticipated Work Schedule:

Monday thru Friday with additional overtime if necessary based on client workload and filing due dates.
